Former Risk Manager of the Year Joins Cotton’s Leadership Team

Cotton Holdings Inc. (“Cotton” or the “Company”), announced today that Lance Ewing, a former Vice President and Industry Practice Leader at American International Group (AIG), has joined the Company as Executive Vice President of Global Risk Management and Client Services. Prior to his role at AIG, Ewing headed Global Risk Management for Caesar’s Entertainment, served in various executive board and senior risk management positions, and was president of three insurance captives.

Ewing was appointed as National President for the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) 2003 – 2004 term and was also the Chief Risk Officer (CRO). A recipient of many esteemed industry awards, including being named Business Insurance’s Risk Manager of the Year in 2007 for his work during Hurricane Katrina, Ewing frequently speaks at insurance and risk management forums nationally and abroad. He was honored as the Real Estate Insurance Leader 2014 – 2015 by GlobeSt.com and is currently an active instructor for the National Alliance of Insurance Education.

Ewing received his Master’s degree in Law & Justice from the University of Pittsburgh and has also completed his second Master’s degree in Occupational Safety Engineering. In addition to his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and his International Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation, he is a matriculated Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) candidate and an Enterprise Risk Management Professional (ERMP).
