Cotton Holdings Elects Bobby Jindal to the Board of Directors

Cotton Holdings, Inc. (“Cotton” or the “Company”), is pleased to announce that it has added Bobby Jindal, the 55th Governor of the State of Louisiana, to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Jindal was elected as the nation’s youngest governor in 2007 and spent two terms as Louisiana’s chief executive officer to rebuild and diversify the state’s economy and financial footing in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Prior to serving as Governor, Mr. Jindal held positions as the head of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, President of the University of Louisiana System, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Congressman, and Executive Director of the National Bipartisan Commission on the Future of Medicare. Beyond the public sector, Mr. Jindal previously advised senior management of Fortune 500 companies as an associate at McKinsey & Co.

“Having known and worked with Bobby over the past several years, I am very pleased to now have him join the Board as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Company,” said Pete Bell, Founder and CEO of Cotton Holdings. “Cotton is a diversified holding company with businesses operating both in the U.S. and internationally. I am confident that Bobby’s vast expertise and depth of knowledge of government, coupled with his extensive commercial experience, will add tremendous value to the Company and, ultimately, our shareholders.”

“We are excited to expand the Board of Cotton with another world-class Director with specific domain expertise and who will continue to drive the growth of our various businesses,” added Naveen Bhatia, Chairman of the Board of Cotton Holdings. “Whether it is his experience in attracting $60 billion of private capital to Louisiana, including in the petrochemical industry which is a growth engine for Cotton, or his operational expertise across our business lines, our Board and Management are looking forward to having a problem solver of Bobby’s caliber joining the team and assisting in our continued goal of maximizing shareholder value.”
