The Hangout Kitchen - SOWELA Technical Community College New Dining Options

SOWELA Technical Community College is partnering with Cotton Logistics to provide students, faculty, staff, surrounding company employees, and community members a new on campus dining option - The Hangout Kitchen. The café is open on Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. and is located in close proximity to SOWELA's Student Success Center currently under construction.
The Hangout Kitchen is a brand new facility on campus that offers fresh foods cooked daily on the premises including hot plate lunches, as well as grab and go. The Hangout opens for breakfast at 7 a.m. to accommodate the many students enrolled in early classes. The breakfast menu includes pancakes, egg sandwiches, pastries, and yogurt, and features a coffee shop with an array of offerings that customers would find at any national chain. The lunch menu is served beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until 2 p.m. In addition to daily hot plate specials, guests can choose from hamburgers, hot dogs, soups, salads, and side orders.
We are extremely excited about having the Hangout Kitchen on campus. This venue is setting the tone for what the future Student Services Building will provide in the near future, which is a place to socially gather and build new friendships. For many college students, the dining hall is a place for a positive school experience," stated Christine Collins, the Director of Student Support Services at SOWELA.
The option of purchasing a Meal Card is available for students or others wishing to pre-purchase their meals with no expiration attached. A five percent discount will apply to all meal card purchases. The Hangout will also provide on-site catering services for meetings and functions at the College.
Cotton Culinary is a division of Cotton Logistics which provides remote workforce solutions. Cotton is dedicated to delivering exceptional service by providing a safe, efficient and inviting atmosphere for its patrons.
