Project Overview: Due to Louisiana’s rising cases of COVID-19, there were concerns that a large portion of their population would not be able to practice social distancing due to their living arrangements. Louisiana needed to create an area where people that were symptomatic could isolate away from family while awaiting their test results. Cotton was called on to design and build a 265-bed camp where these individuals could successfully isolate, without sacrificing comfort. Cotton Logistics worked around the clock to transport and construct an entire camp in 16 days. Despite challenges that arose during the construction phase, such as a change of location, a redesign of the buildings’ entrances, and an additional request for ADA accessible units, Cotton Logistics was still able to meet the original deadline.
