Over the weekend, Cotton Logistics participated in a fundraising event for the Texas Bombers Futures HTX girls' fastpitch softball team to go to three national tournaments in Colorado and California this spring and summer. Cotton Logistics' catering division, Cotton Culinary, and Executive Vice President, Forrest Jackson, prepared cheeseburgers and sausage wraps for approx. 150-200 people at Sunday's round robin tournament, raising a total of $3100. During the event, the girls' softball team showed their appreciation for U.S. armed forces by wearing uniforms for the "4 The Fallen" organization. Each girl's jersey honors a fallen soldier from their hometown. They will play in them all year and then the jerseys will be framed and delivered to the family of the soldier for a keepsake. The girls are excited to have the opportunity to defend their national championship title while showing their pride for the heroes of the local communities who support them.
